• ​Chinese New Year- Late January or early February sees Chinatown snap, crackle and pop with fireworks, a colorful street parade and eating options .

• University Boat Race-A posh- boy grudge match held annually since 1829 between the rowing crews of Oxford and Cambridge Universities (Late March)

• Chelsea Flower Show-Held in May, the world's most renowned horticultural show attracts green fingers from near and far.

• London Marathon-in late april amateurs take to the streets; up to half a milion spectators watch champions.

• Trooping the Colour-Celebrating the Queen's official birthday in June 

• Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships-Held at the end of June, the world's most splendid tennis event.

• Pride-The big enent on the gay and lesbian calendar- street parade heads through West End in late June or early July.

• Notting Hill Carnival-Held over two days in August, this is Europe's largest and London's most vibrant outdoor carnival.

• The Proms- Two months of classical concerts around Royal Albert Hall; July to September.

• London Film Festival-Premier film event at the BFI Southbank and other venues in October.

• Changing of the Guard- Daily draw on the forcecount of Buckingham Palace.

• New Year's Celebration- On 31st December the famous countdown to midnight.
