Airports.
London is served by five main airports.
London Heathrow, London Stansted, London Gatwick, London Luton and London City.
London Heathrow Airport (LHR), is one of the busiest and most advanced airports in the world. The best way to get from and to the airport is by using Piccadilly line underground. The airport is located approximately 20 miles to the west from central London. (one way £5.50). London Gatwick (LGW) is the second largest airport in the UK after Heathrow Airport, and is 28 miles south of London. London Luton Airport (LTN) The airport is a major base for low-cost or "no-frills" air travel and is located just 35 miles north-west of Central London. Stansted Airport is located 40 miles to the north-east of London; serving mostly European and Mediterranean destinations. London City Airport (LCY) is approximately 6 miles east of Central London.

Coach Station
Most long-distance coaches leave London from Victoria Coach Station. The arrivals terminal is in a separate building across Elizabeth St from the main coach station.
The Victoria Coach station, run by the organization 'Transport for London' (TFL); it operates annually about 10 million passengers traveling to the destinations of about 1,200 in the UK and 400 in the continental part of Europe. The main coach service that use the station are: National Express, Megabus and Eurolines. This coach station is located in the center of the city, in the neighborhood of Victoria Station and Victoria underground station.

There are 11 underground lines (Excluding DLR and Over ground services)
Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District, East London, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria, Waterloo & City
London is divided into 6 major zones and the fare for the underground depends on how many and what areas we pass while travelling. There are 11 underground lines. The tube is probably the fastest way to get around; there are oyster cards available to purchase for £5.00 at each station. Oyster card is a smartcard to travel in London and it is also the cheapest way to pay for a single journey. London City Airport has a station on the DLR (overground). A good way to work out the different Tube lines and where to change is to pick up a tube map which is available in each underground station.

Train
London's main-line terminals are all linked by the tube and each serves a different destination.
Charing Cross-Canterbury. Euston- Manchaster, Liverpool, Glasgow. King's Cross- Cambridge, Hull, York, Newcastle, Scotland. Liverpool Street- Stansted airport, Cambridge. London Bridge- Gatwick airport, Brighton. Marylebone- Birmingham. Paddington- Heatrow airport, Oxford, Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Cardiff. St Pancras- Gatwick and Luton airports, Brighton, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leicester, Leeds, Paris. Victoria-Gatwick airport, Brighton, Canterbury. Waterloo- Windsor, Winchester, Exteer, Plymouth.

Bicycle/Bus/Car/Taxi
Although locals love to complain about it, London's public transport is excellent, with tubes, trains, buses and boats conspring to get you anywhere you need.
Travelling round London by double decker bus is an enjoyable way to get a feel for the city, but its usually more slower than tube wich enables to the admire views. Buses run regularly during the day, wile less frequently night buses. Buses stop on a request, so clearly signal the driver with an outstreched arm so that it is going to stop. London's famous black cabs are available ; a 1mile trip will cost between £4.40 and £8.00. If you drive into central London by car from 7am to 6pm on a weekday you'll need to pay £8 per day charge. Barclays Cycle Hire is London's public bike sharing scheme is available 24/7, 365 days a year. There are more than 8,000 bikes and over 550 bike docking stations across the city to help you get around quickly and easily. First 30min are free.

Boat
This type of transport is a perfect way to spend an enjoyable time and learn about the surrounding area.

Fares for adults are between £2.50 and £6.50. From 7am to 12.30pl and 9am weekends.
